Brian Bates, Director of Engineering
Brian is the Director of Engineering at Nexersys. In addition to managing engineering projects, Brian also serves on the development team as a software and embedded engineer. Brian’s interests include hobby electronics, martial arts, machine learning, and ultimate frisbee. In his free time, Brian teaches martial arts at a local karate school.
Nate Sewell, Lead Software Engineer
Nate is the Lead Software Engineer at Nexersys. He has been with Nexersys for nearly 5 years. He is an avid gamer, and enjoys classic Western style RPGs and the occasional hack-n-slash action adventure.
Cesar Hernandez, Software Designer
Cesar is a software designer at Nexersys. He designs all aspects of the software including the overall flow, user interface, gamification elements and game mechanics. He also helps develop the software through coding. In his free time he manages a website about politics.
Dan McFerren, Game Developer
Dan is a Game Developer at Nexersys. He was trained at Austin Community College’s Game Design Institute. He mainly authors C++ and C# code, but also contributes to the 2D and 3D art, and the underlying game systems and playability. Dan’s primary interests are entrepreneurship, game design, classic literature, and experience design. In his spare time, he likes to study, game with his wife Christy, and create games.

Fast Fists is a rhythm-based striking game that is fast, fun and challenging! This game puts players in a virtual fighting ring and allows them to test their striking skills by throwing real punches and striking real mitts. Players can choose to challenge fighters on their own or compete with multiple players for the highest score. Fast Fists features a ladder of fighters featuring mitt-training and competition rounds.
