Fitness and Nutrition: Weight Loss in One Week

Feeling despondent? Frustrated? The weather forecast calls for swimsuits and you are not feeling it. Instead, you figure that you will hibernate indoors and hide yourself and your disappointment. Nobody will notice, right? All the while, your pals will be out enjoying the sunshine and fun. Maybe your best friend’s wedding is right around the corner and that expensive tuxedo or dress is not quite fitting the way you want. Are we awake yet? The refrigerator is full of soda pop, leftover pizza and your home fitness equipment has not been used in months. Yet, in one of those funny forehead-slapper revelations, you realize that enough is enough. It is time to begin anew. It is time to get cheerful and it is time to lose weight this very week.

Now you are pumped up, raring to go. But how? How do you lose weight in a week?

Fortunately, things are not as wildly complicated as they might seem. In fact, the reality for losing weight now consists of few, but highly important details. First, you need to have fun. Your fitness equipment should engage you. It should not be boring or monotonous. Fitness equipment that provides a challenge and feedback on your progress is also quite helpful. If you are not challenged and do not know how you are doing, it is easy to fall off the bandwagon and go back to living a sedentary lifestyle. It is also important to exercise at a pace that suits you. Burning out the first day back using your home fitness equipment is a recipe for quitting. Speaking of challenges, you should replace drinking soda with adequate amounts of water. Water helps the body release fluids stored in tissues and is essential for safe and healthy weight loss.

In addition to unfailing daily exercise using high-quality fitness equipment, consistent healthy eating is crucial for losing weight right away. A diet full of vegetables and healthy snacks is highly recommended. Go easy on the alcohol, caffeine and dairy products. However, you may even consider consulting a nutritionist and gathering as much information as possible on proper dieting.

When the weather is favorable or you want to look good for that all-important event, you need not despair. You can begin to lose weight in one week and set the stage to get the body you desire. It just requires a little thought and effort. Do you have what it takes?
